Climacure Attic in practice
Climacure Attic is set up with the heating cable spread out in the space along the base of the roof to the north of the house. The fan is mounted so that it blows air from an air inlet.
In order to minimize noise it is best to hang the fan with the included straps. Correctly installed, one should not need to hear the fan in the living area. In order to further reduce the noise from the fan, flexible ventilation pipes are set up as well. The most frequently built attic today, has a lot of ventilation. Most of the ventilators are blocked but some exhaust ventilation is kept so as to enable an air flow all through the attic space. It may be needed to install an exhaust ventilator in older attics that is completely void of arranged ventilation. If you have a divided attic you should use the Climacure Attic Double. It contains an additional ventilation module.
The ventilation normally dries the attic far below safe levels. There is therefore a wide margin before Climacure Attic needs to activate the heating. When heating is necessary, there is no need for large temperature increases. For example, a 3°C increase in temperature decreases the relative humidity by approximately 15 percentage units, for example from harmful 90% to safe 75%.
