What should I do?

Check if your moisture ratio is too high

It is easy to check the moisture ratios with a Probiks sensor, a product that can be bought from Climacure. You can also look for bent timber or suspended dead floor board, moisture on foundation walls or discoloured timber. If you have established that the humidity is too high you should take measures, or else it is just a matter of time before you have damages.

Renovation

If you have visible attacks from mould or can smell odours from the crawlspace it may need a renovation.

For do it yourself measures there is photo catalytic treatment. This air cleaner kills microbials and eliminates odours, and can be ordered with Climacure Crawlspace. The treatment takes a few weeks and is usually successful. It is important that all organic rubbish is cleaned out of the crawlspace. If not, this is a very good growth environment for mould and fungus.
